Li Jinjun meets with Sudan's Finance Minister and Petroleum Minister

BEIJING, March 20 -- Vice-minister Li Jinjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met today in Beijing with Sudan's Minister of Finance and National Economy Badreldin Mahmoud Abbas and Minister of Petroleum Makkawi Mohamed Awad, who were visiting China.

Li said that over the 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, cooperation in various fields between China and Sudan has made significant progress. The Communist Party of China is willing to maintain high-level contacts and strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in governance with the National Congress Party of Sudan. The Communist Party of China is keen to work with Sudan, said Li, to promote contacts among non-governmental organizations of the two countries and concrete bilateral cooperation, which would bring China-Sudan relations to a new level.

Badreldin said that the National Congress Party and the Sudanese government highly value their relations with China, and expressed hope that China could enhance its support to Sudan and expand cooperation with the country to bring about common development of the two countries and shared benefits for the two peoples.
