BEIJING, April 8 -- Zhao Hongzhu, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met here today with a delegation of the National Council for the Defense of Democracy–Forces for the Defense of Democracy (CNDD-FDD) of Burundi led by vice-president Victor Burikukiye.
Zhao said that no matter how the international situation changes, China will continue to support Burundi in the effort of promoting peace and development.
He added that the CPC is willing to strengthen friendly cooperation with the CNDD-FDD to handle the challenges ruling parties of developing countries are facing against new circumstances so as to consolidate the political foundation for all-around development of bilateral relations.
Burikukiye said that this visit, with exchanges and experience-sharing, will help exchanges between the two parties go deeper.
