Wang Jiarui meets CDU/CSU parliamentary group

BEIJING, April 14  -- Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with the delegation of the Union of Germany, led by Volker Kauder, chair of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in Bundestag in Beijing on April 14th.

Wang said that the recent visit of President Xi Jinping to Germany marks a new starting point in China-Germany relations. Exchanges between the ruling parties of the two countries, namely the CPC and CDU/CSU, is conducive for enhancing mutual understanding, political mutual trust and practical cooperation.He pledged that we are willing to leverage the unique advantages of inter-party exchanges to carry out the consensus reached between the heads of state of the two countries to deepen China-Germany comprehensive strategic partnership.

Kauder said that Germany closely follows China’s reform initiatives and applauds China’s achievement in anti-corruption and other fields.He added that he is looking forward to more Chinese investment in Europe and strong cooperation between China and Germany in various areas such as business, trade, new energy.
