Zhou Li meets with delegation from Estonia

BEIJING, May 7 -- On May 7th, vice-minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met in Beijing with a delegation of the foreign affairs committee of the Estonian parliament Riigikogu. The two sides exchanged views on such issues of common interest as China-Estonia bilateral relations, relations between political parties in particular, and developments in Ukraine. Also present at the meeting was Estonian Ambassador Toomas Lukk.

Zhou spoke positively of the bilateral ties and gave a briefing on the CPC’s external relations, including the four guiding principles in this regard.

Head of the delegation Mr. Marko Mihkelson, chairman of the Riigikogu’s foreign affairs committee stated that promoting friendship and cooperation with China is a consensus among all political parties in the Estonian parliament. The Riigikogu is willing to have more contacts and exchanges with its counterpart in China and will facilitate communication between political parties of the two sides, so as to advance relations of the two countries.
