BEIJING, May 7 --Zhao Hongzhu, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, met in Beijing with Johnson Asiedu Nketia，Secretary General of the National Democratic Congress of Ghana on May 7th, 2014.

Zhao said that China and Ghana enjoy a long-standing friendship that has grown stronger with the passage of time. Now that the two countries are working for the same strategic goals of development, it is necessary for the CPC and the NDC, both as ruling parties, to keep the momentum of high-level exchanges, strengthen mutual learning in governance experience and play a leading role in deepening friendly cooperation of the two countries, he added.

On his part, Nketia affirmed that China is regarded as a good friend of Ghana, and that Ghana is thankful for the selfless assistance China has provided over the years for its economic and social development. He expressed hope to see closer bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
