BEIJING, May 14 -- On May 14th, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui met in Beijing with the delegation of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) led by the Party’s Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal.

Wang expressed appreciation for the contribution Khanal has made in promoting the relations between China and Nepal and between the CPC and the CPN (UML). China and Nepal are friendly neighbors, and both are populous countries at a period of economic transformation, Wang said, it is therefore important that the two countries strengthen exchanges and cooperation for furthering their relations and coping with common challenges.

Wang also said that every political party realizes its development through exploration. Political parties must keep themselves abreast with the changing times so as to find the most suitable road of development. The CPC has found the road of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics which is most suitable for development in China’s condition after relentless exploration. The continued peace process in Nepal has offered a good condition for governance by political parties in Nepal. It is believed that the CPN (UML) will find the path of development in line with Nepal’s national condition and bring benefit to the people.

Khanal said this visit gives him a full picture of China’s achievements in economic and social development and an opportunity to see the vigor brought about by Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in different sectors in China. His party is convinced that the new leadership team of the CPC will lead the Chinese people in effectively overcoming all challenges and realize a big development of socialism.
