Zhou Li meets with Czech Prime Minister Advisor

BEIJING, May 15 -- On May 15th, vice-minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met with Advisor on China Affairs to the Czech Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Czech-China Friendship Association Jaroslav Tvrdik at the request of the latter.

Zhou Li said China is willing to make joint effort with Czech to ensure sustained and healthy development of the bilateral relations as such ties between the two countries have entered a new stage of development. The CPC is ready to strengthen exchanges with the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) through the party-to-party channel so as to help deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in economy, trade, culture, tourism and many other areas.

Jaroslav Tvrdik said that the new government of Czech highly values relations with China and would like to begin with the recovery of the bilateral ties to step up high-level exchanges between the two countries and expand areas of cooperation so as to boost the development of the state-to-state relations. The ČSSD maintains a long-term friendly relation with the CPC and has made important contribution to the improvement and development of the relations between the two sides and the ČSSD will continue to consolidate and deepen cooperation with the CPC in various fields in the future.
