Li Jinjun visits Sudan

KHARTOUM, May 15 -- At the invitation of the National Congress Party (NCP) of Sudan, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Li Jinjun paid a visit to Sudan between May 11th and 15th as head of a CPC goodwill delegation. He met respectively with the First Vice-President of Sudan and Vice-President of the NCP Bakri Hassan Saleh, Assistant to the President of Sudan and Vice-President of the NCP Ibrahim Ghandour, and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Issa Bashari. Li also held talks and consultations with the NCP Secretary for External Relations Al-Dirdiri Mohammed Ahmed on the preparation for 3rd China-Sudan Ruling Parties’ High-Level Dialogue and on promoting cooperation between the two countries in various fields through the party-to-party channel.

Li held another talks with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Samia Ahmed Mohammed Hassan and some other members of the NCP who have visited China. He was here to attend 3rd China-Africa People’s Forum as the executive vice-president of the China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE).

 

Li briefed the Sudanese side on the main ideas of 3rd Plenary Session of 18th CPC Central Committee, the connotation of the Chinese dream and China’s African policy. He stressed the important role of the relations between the CPC and the ruling party of Sudan in the state-to-state relations and that such inter-party relations have boosted the development of the bilateral relations. The CPC is willing to join effort with the NCP to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries based on the platform of the ruling parties’ high-level dialogue and by all-round measures of cadre training, practical cooperation and collaboration between NGOs of the two countries.  

The Sudanese side expressed gratitude to the CPC and the Chinese Government for always supporting peace, stability and development of Sudan and that they are willing to further boost practical cooperation between the two countries by means of ruling-party exchanges. They are ready to make thorough preparation together with the Chinese side for 3rd China-Sudan Ruling Parties’ High-Level Dialogue and inject new impetus into the relations between the two parties and the two countries.
