Wang Jiarui meets with young cadres of the United Russia Party

BEIJING, May 26 -- On May 26th, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui met in Beijing with the delegation of young cadres of the United Russia Party led by Sergey Zheleznyak, deputy secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party and deputy speaker of the State Duma.

Wang said during the recent CICA Summit, the top leaders of China and Russia have met again for an important consensus on the new stage of the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between the two countries. Both China and Russia are major countries facing a complicated international and regional environment. China upholds the concept of peaceful development and the independent foreign policy of peace and is against power politics. The Communist Party of China and the United Russia Party are both dedicated to serving the people and are both playing indispensable roles in their respective countries’ development. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the United Russia Party in areas like exchanges between youths of the two countries who will become a driving force for the friendly relations between China and Russia.

 

Zheleznyak said Russia and China share identical or similar positions on international issues and are in need of regular, extensive and in-depth discussions on political, economic and international issues. A healthy state-to-state relationship requires communication and dialogues between political parties of the two countries. The United Russia Party is ready to step up exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to further boost mutual understanding and trust.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional situation and other hot-spot issues.
