Yu Hongjun meets with Ambassador of Ireland to China

BEIJING, May 27 -- Vice-minister Yu Hongjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met in Beijing on May 27th with the Ambassador of Ireland to China Paul Kavanagh.

Yu spoke positively about the relations between China and Ireland and the inter-party exchanges between the two countries, emphasizing the great importance attached to such relations by the Chinese side who is willing to join effort with Ireland in adding new content to the strategic partnership for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and lifting the state-to-state relations to a new level.

The Ambassador said since the establishment of the strategic partnership for mutually beneficial cooperation in 2012, Ireland and China have continuously deepened their cooperation in economy, trade, culture and education. The Irish side is willing to pool effort with China to work for greater achievements in practical collaboration in different other fields.
