LONDON, June 4 -- A CPC goodwill delegation led by Wang Xiaodong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and executive vice-governor of Hubei Province, visited the United Kingdom from June 2nd to 4th. Wang met with Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, vice-chairman of the British Conservative Party, Liam Byrne, Labour Party’s shadow minister for Universities, Science and Skills, and officials of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He elaborated on the ideas of the 3rd Plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee in the context of Hubei Province, and exchanged views with the British side on furthering party-to-party relations and promoting local and business cooperation. The delegation also visited Arup, a consultancy, and exchanged words with representatives of the 48 Group Club, an NGO.
