BEIJING, June 10 -- Chinese vice-president Li Yuanchao met here today with a high-level study group of the Ethiopian Revolutionary People’s Front (EPRDF) headed by Abay Tsehaye.

Li said that the meetings between leaders of China and Ethiopia on different occasions since last year have set strategic direction for China-Ethiopia relations. China sees Ethiopia as an important partner of cooperation and will support Ethiopia in following a development path that fits in well with its own national conditions, said Li. The Communist Party of China and the Chinese government are ready to deepen bilateral cooperation with Ethiopia in all areas, strengthen inter-party exchanges, and enhance experience sharing on governance and lift China- Ethiopia comprehensive partnership of cooperation to a new level, added Li.

Abay said that he hopes to learn more from the development experience of China and deepen relations between the two parties and two countries.
