BEIJING, June 23 -- Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with the participants of a Sudan National Congress Senior Cadres’ Workshop, led by Eldirdiry Mohamed Ahmed, minister of the International Department of Sudan National Congress Party (NCP).

Wang said that through the joint efforts of both sides, a multi-dimensional relationship, exemplary among governing parties of developing countries, has emerged between the CPC and the NCP. The CPC is willing to further deepen high-level exchanges between the two parties, he said, with a view to promoting cooperation between the two countries in various areas through party-to-party channels. He expects positive results from the Third China-Sudan Ruling Parties’ High-Level Dialogue to be held in the second half of this year, which would make the Dialogue an important platform for the two parties to share experience on governance, said Wang.

Eldirdiry said that the visit to China, which is his first, has deepened his understanding of China and the deep-running friendship between the NCP and the CPC. He pledged, on behalf of the NCP, to work together with the CPC for stronger exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and a better friendly cooperative relationship between China and Sudan. Sudan has started its own reform, he said, and is in need of China’s experience of success.
