BEIJING, July 7  -- Guo Yezhou, vice minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met in Beijing on the 7th of July with MPs of the four major parties of the Parliament (Bundestag) of Germany who accompanied German Chancellor Angela Merkel to visit China.  

Guo said, political party exchange is an integral part of Sino-German relations and has played critical roles in enhancing mutual understanding and political mutual trust for many years. The CPC would like to work together with major parties of Germany to push forward the development of the all dimensional strategic partnership between China and Germany.  

The German side expressed readiness of political parties, in office or not, to keep close cooperation with the CPC. They noticed that China is currently dedicated to comprehensively deepening reform, and showed willingness to enhance understanding and mutual learning through the channel of political party exchanges.
