BEIJING, July 8  -- Vice-minister Yu Hongjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with Ham Lini, deputy prime minister of Vanuatu and president of the National United Party (NUP). 

Yu spoke positively of China-Vanuatu relations and inter-party exchange, saying that the Chinese side appreciates the NUP’s adherence of one-China policy and is willing to take the 10-year anniversary of CPC-NUP relations as an opportunity to strengthen their exchanges and cooperation so as to bring about new progress in friendly cooperation between the two countries. 

On his part, Lini said that Vanuatu is grateful for China’s selfless help and will continue its one-China policy. He stressed that many dignitaries of the NUP including himself have visited China through the inter-party channel on different occasions and have benefited greatly. We are willing to work together with the Chinese side to promote long-term and stable development of relations between our two countries, said Lini.
