Yu Hongjun meets delegation of Pacific island countries

BEIJING, July 15 -- Vice-minister Yu Hongjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met in Beijing on July 15th the 4th delegation of politicians from Pacific island countries headed by Mr. Edward Natapei, president of Vanua’aku Party and parliamentary secretary to the Prime Minister of Vanuatu.  

Yu said that the CPC and the Chinese government attach high importance to the development of relations with Pacific island countries and are willing to further deepen their practical cooperation in various fields, strengthen exchanges and draw on one another’s experience for common development.  

On his part, Natapei said that the visit has increased his understanding of China and the CPC in a comprehensive way, hoping to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields to promote development of Pacific island countries.
