BEIJING, Aug. 21 -- Vice-minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended on August 21 the launch of a new book -- Friendship across Pamir co-authored by Rashid Alimov, ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to China and Yin Shuguang, deputy chief-editor of Hong Kong Wen Wei Po.  

Zhou congratulated on the publishing of the new book and said that the book captured a series of critical moments of the last 22 years since China and Tajikistan established diplomatic ties and was another fruit on the evergreen tree of friendship between China and Tajikistan. China and Tajikistan are good neighbors, good friends, good partners and good brothers, said Zhou. Close exchanges and cooperation between the two countries serve the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples and are conducive to the safeguarding of regional peace and security and the realization of common development, said Zhou.
