Chen Fengxiang meets with Japanese guest

BEIJING, Sept. 3 -- Vice-Minister Chen Fengxiang of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met on the noon of September 3rd with Akaba Kazuyoshi, state minister of Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.  

Chen stated China’s position and views on the current China-Japan relations and stressed that tensions do not serve the common interests of the two sides. Chen hoped that Japanese politicians can play a leading role in enhancing political mutual trust between the two countries and improving mutual feelings of the two peoples so as to lead the bilateral relations out of plight.  

Kazuyoshi expressed willingness to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in economic and trade activities, investment as well as other fields and to help reverse the current adversaries and improve the bilateral relations.
