Li Yuanchao meets Tanzanian guests

BEIJING, Sept. 12 -- Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao on Friday met with a delegation of Tanzanian ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) led by Seif Mohammed, secretary-general of the Parents Organization of CCM.

This year marks of 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between China and Tanzania. Li said China hopes both sides will comprehensively implement the consensus by the top leaders of both countries to forge ahead the comprehensive cooperative partnership of mutual benefit between China and Tanzania.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) is willing to maintain exchanges and cooperation with the CCM on all levels in the hope of improving each other's capabilities of how to run a state, Li said.

Calling China "a long-term friend of Tanzania", Mohammed said Tanzania would like to promote the development of relations and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries and the two parties.
