Colombo, September 20th – The Eighth General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) was held in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka, from September 18th to 20th. Vice-Minister Chen Fengxiang of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended the Assembly as CPC representative, and gave a speech titled “Hold on to Asia’s Dream, Build a Beautiful Future Together”. 

Chen spoke positively of the significance of the General Assembly which takes “Building an Asian Community” as its theme, stressing that Asian countries should continue to promote common development, build an Asian community of common interest, common destiny and common responsibly, and realize the Asian dream of lasting peace and shared prosperity.
