Li Jun meets with Bangladeshi guest

BEIJING, Sept. 24 -- Assistant Minister Li Jun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met on the afternoon of September 24th with Amir Hossain Amu, member of the Presidium of the Bangladesh Awami League and minister of industries of the Bangladesh Government, who is in China for a visit.

Li Jun said that during the visit to China of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last June, leaders of China and Bangladesh achieved important consensus on strengthening the comprehensive partnership of cooperation between the two countries. He hoped that relevant authorities of the two sides could enhance communication and coordination to earnestly implement the consensus as soon as possible. Li also expressed the willingness of the CPC to promote practical cooperation between China and Bangladesh through the channel of inter-party exchanges.

Amu told Li that the Ministry of Industries of Bangladesh stands ready to work with the Chinese side to facilitate the implementation of relevant cooperation projects and that the Bangladesh Awami League, as the ruling party of Bangladesh, hopes to further strengthen its friendly exchanges with the CPC.
