BEIJING, Sept. 25 – Vice Minister Guo Yezhou of the International Department of CPC Central Committee met this morning with Mihara Asahiko and Mitsuya Norio, both deputy secretary generals of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP).
Guo stated the Chinese position and views on the current China-Japan relationship, stressing that governing parties of the two countries should play a positive and unique role, especially during the more difficult times of the relationship. He hopes that the Japanese side could meet China halfway and create the necessary conditions for the improvement of relations with concrete actions, Guo said, in order to bring the China-Japan relationship back on the track of sound and steady development.
Mihara and Mitsuya said that the LDP highly values its relationship with the CPC, which it is willing to strengthen, with a view to making contribution to the improvement of the China-Japan relationship.
