Li Jinjun meets with Study Group from GCC Countries

BEIJING, Oct. 14 -- Vice-Minister Li Jinjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met on October 14th with a study group composed of people in charge of political affairs from countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) led by Mohammad Almutairi, representative of the rotating GCC presidency and counselor of the GCC Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.

Li stated that the joint efforts at developing the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and "Maritime Silk Road in the 21st Century" would bring new opportunities to the relations between China and GCC states. He pointed out that China is ready to promote exchanges and cooperation with GCC states.

Almutairi said that the visit to China deepened his understanding about China and the CPC, which increased understanding, trust and cooperation between the two sides.
