BEIJING, Oct. 22 -- Vice-Minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met with Ishii Takakazu, governor of Toyama Prefecture of Japan on the morning of Oct. 22nd.

Zhou appreciated Ishii’s long-term effort in promoting China-Japan friendship and stated China’s position on bilateral relations and other related issues.

He expressed hopes for stronger local and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries to create conditions for the warming-up of bilateral relations.

Ishii pledged that Toyama Prefecture will continue to promote local cooperation between the two countries to further consolidate friendship between the two peoples and contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
