BEIJING, Oct. 29 -- Vice Minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met today with Edgardo Riveros, vice foreign minister of Chile.

Zhou said that the CPC values its friendly ties with Chilean political parties, and is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in politics, business, cultural exchanges and other areas through the party-to-party channel.

Riveros said that the relationship with China is a priority of Chile’s foreign policy. Party-to-party ties are of great significance to the relationship between Chile and China, he said, pledging on behalf of the Chilean Foreign Ministry to continue its support to exchanges and cooperation between political parties of the two countries.

Zhou also briefed the vice minister on the 4th Plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
