BEIJING, Nov. 17 -- Wang Jiarui, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today a reception for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the CPC and Germany's Social Democratic Party (SPD).

Wang said that as we commemorate the 30th year of relations between the CPC and the SPD today, we need to summarize experience and plan for future development, and continue to strengthen exchanges on governance lessons, so that the inter-party relations can play a bigger role in promoting China-Germany relations and bilateral cooperation.  

Herta Daubler-Gmelin, former Vice-Chairperson of the SPD and minister of justice, said that frank exchanges between the two parties can help to deepen mutual understanding. Bilateral cooperation will have broader space and prospects in the future, she said.
