Li Jinjun holds talks with SPLM of South Sudan

BEIJING, Nov. 20 -- Vice-minister Li Jinjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee held talks in Beijing on Nov. 20th with the second study group of senior officials of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) of South Sudan led by Daniel Awet Akot, member of SPLM Political Bureau.  

Li expressed the willingness of the CPC to step up exchanges with the SPLM at various levels, especially in governance experience, to boost bilateral relations.  

Akot thanked China for its support to South Sudan and said that he looks forward to more in-depth exchanges between the ruling parties of the two countries.

The two sides also exchanged views on the domestic situation of South Sudan.
