Li Jinjun meets with newly-appointed French Ambassador to China

BEIJING, Dec. 12 -- On the morning of Dec. 12, vice-minister Li Jinjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met newly appointed French Ambassador to China Maurice Gourdault-Montagne.  

Li said that Sino-French relations are at the best period ever. Pointing to the fact that the CPC has maintained friendly exchanges and cooperation with all major political parties of France, Li said that the International Department of the CPC Central Committee is ready to enhance cooperation with the French embassy in China to jointly promote the development of bilateral relations.  

Ambassador Montagne said that French-Sino relations have got stronger despite 50 years of changes in the international arena. He expressed the wish that the two sides further enhance political mutual trust and expand economic and cultural cooperation to jointly deal with global challenges.
