BEIJING, Dec. 25 -- Vice-minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met with Kurbanov Daniyar Djavdatovich, Uzbekistan's ambassador to China on Dec. 25.

Zhou congratulated Uzbekistan on the success of parliamentary election and said that China is ready to strengthen ties with political parties in the new parliament to promote the sound and sustained development of China-Uzbekistan Strategic Partnership.

Djavdatovich said that as the initiative of Silk Road Economic Belt will provide new opportunities for deeper bilateral cooperation, the two countries are speeding up their efforts to implement the consensus of the Presidents of our two countries reached during the successful visit of President Karimov to China last August.  

He added that Uzbekistan's embassy in China will actively promote inter-party interaction as it is an important part of bilateral relations.
