BEIJING, Jan. 7 -- Vice-minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met with Alberto Alvariño Atienza, Vice Minister of the Ideology Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, on Jan. 7th.

Zhou commended China-Cuba relations at both state and party levels and welcomed improvement in Cuba-American relations to benefit the two peoples.  

Atienza briefed his host on recent developments in the party building and ideology efforts of his party and expressed the willingness of the Communist Party of Cuba for a closer friendship with the CPC to enhance exchanges in ideology work.
