BEIJING, Jan. 12 -- On January 12th, Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held talks with Antti Rinne, chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Finland and minister of Finance of Finland.

Wang said that in a globalized world facing identical or similar economic and social development problems, countries should strengthen cooperation and deal with challenges with joint efforts instead of in isolation. China’s economic growth has entered “the new normal”, presenting tremendous room for cooperation. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and dialogues with the SDP on governance experience to promote economic and social development of their respective countries.

Rinne briefed the host on current economic and social development in Finland. He said that his party shares similar governance philosophy with the CPC and is willing to enhance cooperation between the two parties on dealing with climate change, expanding clean energy, strengthening environmental protection and developing aviation hubs.
