Wang Jiarui meets Nigerien guests

BEIJING, Feb. 3 -- Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met on Feb. 3rd with a delegation of the Democratic and Socialist Party of Niger (PNDS) led by party chairman Bazoum Mohamed.

Wang remarked on the time honored traditional friendship between China and Africa, saying that the long distance between China and Niger is not a barrier for the connection between the two countries and two peoples. He said that China-Niger cooperation in various areas have gone deeper, with more frequent inter-party exchanges on governance experience. He expressed the willingness of China to further upgrade bilateral relations at both state and party levels for the benefit of the two peoples.

 

Bazoum said that Niger is very satisfied with the development of relations between the two countries and the two parties. Thanks to China's support, Niger has made hard-won strides in transportation, telecommunication, education, health care and other areas. He added that as Niger is at a crucial stage of national development and Niger-China relations touches upon different sectors of Niger's society, Niger is ready to step up cooperation with China on a wider scope.
