BEIJING, March 18 -- Zhou Li, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met today with Shahrat Nuryshev, the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to China upon request of the latter.

Zhou congratulated Nuryshev on his new post and spoke highly of China-Kazakhstan relations. He said that the IDCPC will continue to work closely with the embassy of Kazakhstan to China so as to jointly promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Nuryshev said that Kazakhstan is satisfied with the development of bilateral relations with China and will also promote cooperation in various fields including party-to-party communication.

The two sides also exchanged ideas on regional hot-spot issues and other topics of mutual interests.
