Yu Hongjun meets with Australian ambassador to China

BEIJING, Jan. 14 -- Vice-minister Yu Hongjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met in Beijing today with Australian Ambassador to China Frances Adamson.

Yu said that China's effort to comprehensively deepen reforms will bring new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields both for China and Australia. The Communist Party of China is ready to strengthen exchanges with major Australian political parties to further promote the relations between the two countries.

Frances Adamson said that the 3rd Plenary Session of the CPC's 18th Central Committee has a far-reaching impact on further development of bilateral relations between the two countries. Australia is willing to join efforts with China to strengthen communication at various levels, deepen party-to-party relations, tighten cooperation on multilateral platforms and between youths and enrich the contents of the strategic partnership.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest.
