Zhou Li meets with vice-president of Venezuelan Council of Ministers

BEIJING, Dec. 3 -- Vice-minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with Hector Rodriguez, vice-president of the Council of Ministers of Venezuela and minister for education of Venezuela, and his colleagues.  

Zhou said that during his visit to Venezuela in July, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced together with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to upgrade China-Venezuela relations into Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The CPC stands ready to make joint efforts with the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) to promote comprehensive and in-depth growth of relations between the two countries.

Rodriguez said that the PSUV and the Venezuelan government value relations with China and are willing to learn from the CPC's experience in state governance. They hope to strengthen cooperation between the PSUV and the CPC in official training and other fields, expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various aspects and bring benefits to the two peoples.

Zhou briefed the guests on the fourth plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
