Beijing, June 20th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with a cadre study group of the Cambodia People's Party (CPP). The cadre study group was headed by Chey Saphon, Member of the CPP Central Committee, Vice Chairman of Central Commission on Propaganda and Education, and Advisor to President of the Senate of Cambodia.

Qian expressed that the relations between the two parties are an important component of relations between the two countries, and play a political leading role in the healthy and stable development of relations between both countries. At present, the two sides have enjoyed frequent high-level mutual visits with the exchange of experience on state governance and administration continuously deepened and practical cooperation in various fields constantly expanded. It is believed that China-Cambodia relations will constantly reach new stages under the promotion of leaders of both parties and both countries.

Chey Saphon thanked China for providing long-term support and assistance for Cambodia’s development, and expressed the wish to learn from China’s experience on party governance and state administration to earnestly improve its own capacity building, in a bid to promote the relations between the two parties and the two countries for constant and forward-looking development.
