Beijing, July 2nd—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with the delegation of the European Left Party (ELP) headed by Gregor Gysi, ELP President.

Speaking positively of the relations between the CPC and the ELP, Qian expressed that the CPC treasures its traditional friendship with the ELP and is willing to further enhance institutional exchanges and cooperation in various fields on the existing sound basis, so as to jointly build a new type of party-to-party relations featuring seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect and mutual learning.

Gysi appreciates the CPC’s ruling achievements and the successful practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and hopes to learn from the CPC’s experience in party governance and state administration in an in-depth manner through this visit, in a bid to elevate bilateral party-to-party exchanges and cooperation to new stages.
