Argentine President Meets with Yang Xiaodu

On July 2nd, Mauricio Macri, Argentine President, met at the Casa Rosada today with Yang Xiaodu, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of National Supervisory Commission.

Yang conveyed President Xi Jinping’s warm greetings to Macri, and said that President Xi Jinping and President Macri have held three meetings in recent years. The two heads of state have made top-level design for deepening China-Argentina comprehensive strategic partnership, which injected strong impetus into the improvement and upgrade of China-Argentina cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to well implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, and deepen China-Argentina all-around strategic cooperation. The CPC stands ready to, together with the Republican Proposal (PRO) of Argentina, strengthen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration, in a bid to promote the relations between the two parties for constant and forward-looking development.

Macri asked Yang to convey his best wishes to President Xi, and expressed that he was full of confidence in the future development of Argentina-China relations. Macri expects President Xi Jinping to attend the G20 Summit in Argentina at the end of November, and welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and establish business in Argentina.

At the invitation of the PRO, the ruling party of Argentina, Yang led a CPC delegation to visit the country from July 1st to 3rd. During the visit, Yang held working talks respectively with leaders of Argentina’s governing coalition and Germán Carlos Garavano, Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina, inspected the grass-roots party construction of the PRO, and interacted with leaders of youth organizations.
