Rabat, July 9th--Saad Eddine El Othmani, Head of the Moroccan Government and Leader of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), met here today with the CPC delegation led by You Quan, Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee.
You expressed that bilateral relations have enjoyed healthy and stable development since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Morocco six decades ago. China stands ready to, together with Morocco, well implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly promote the building of the Belt and Road under the guidance of the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and the concept of policy towards Africa featuring sincerity, real results, affinity, and good faith proposed by President Xi Jinping. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the PJD to promote China-Morocco strategic partnership to reach new stages.
Othmani noted that King Mohammed VI visited China in 2016 and opened a new chapter for the development of Morocco-China relations. Morocco congratulates Chinese people on remarkable development achievements under the guidance of the CPC. Morocco stands ready to learn from the experience of China in state governance and administration, and actively participate in the building of the Belt and Road, in a bid to achieve common development. The PJD cherishes its friendship with the CPC, and is willing to reinforce exchanges and mutual learning between the two parties as well as enrich the connotation of Morocco-China strategic partnership.
During the visit, You also met with Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of Interior, and Ahmed Toufiq, Minister of Habous and Islamic Affairs. You observed the management of religious affairs of Morocco.
