BEIJING, July 16 -- Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan on Monday met with a visiting delegation of the Republican Proposal party of Argentina.

Both China and Argentina are important emerging markets and members of G20, Wang said, hailing the sound relationship between the two sides.

Top leaders of the two countries have met three times in recent years and made top-down planning for deepening bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, Wang said.

Political mutual trust is the basis of bilateral relationship development, while exchanges between political parties are an important part of the bilateral relationship, he added.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) stands ready to establish a new type of party-to-party relationship with the Republican Proposal party of Argentina, and learn from each other to contribute to the development of the China-Argentina relationship, the vice president stressed.

Hailing the remarkable achievements scored by China under the leadership of the CPC, Humberto Schiavoni, president of the Republican Proposal, said Argentina attaches great importance to relations with China and would like to improve the quality of bilateral cooperation.

The Republican Proposal party of Argentina is willing to learn from China's experience and enhance exchanges between the two political parties, Schiavoni said.
