Song Tao Meets with Cadre Study Group of Various Parties from Israel

Beijing, July 26th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with the cadre study group of various parties from Israel headed by Nava Boker, Member of the Political Bureau of the Likud and Deputy Speaker of the Knesset.

Speaking highly of the long-term friendly relations between China and Israel, the two sides agreed to inherit traditional friendship, deepen political mutual trust, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in science and technology, innovation, agriculture and other fields. Representatives of Israeli parties expressed that though various parties hold different views on domestic affairs, they are highly consistent in deepening Israel-China friendship and enhancing the relations with China. The Israeli side admires the CPC’s ruling achievements, and hopes to further strengthen experience exchanges and mutual learning in party governance and state administration with the CPC.

Song also introduced the Chinese side’s stance on promoting the building of a more just, fair and rational globalization, maintaining multi-lateral trade system, facilitating peaceful development and other issues, and exchanged extensive views with the Israeli side.

Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting.

The cadre study group consists of representatives from nine major political parties of Israel.
