Song Tao Meets with Member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee

Beijing, August 19th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) headed Trần Quốc Vượng, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee.

Song expressed that the relations between the CPC and the CPV play an important political guiding role in China-Vietnam relations. General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee highly value the relations between the two parties and the two countries. General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong have reached important consensus on and charted the course for deepening China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The Chinese side is willing to, together with the Vietnamese side, jointly well implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two parties and the two countries, and constantly deepen the guiding role of relations between the two parties for the relations between both countries, so as to constantly elevate China-Vietnam relations to new stages.

Trần said that the Vietnamese side speaks highly of the relations between the two parties and the two countries, treasures Vietnam-China traditional friendship, and firmly believes that the sound and stable development of Vietnam-China relations is conducive to the two parties, the two countries and the two peoples. The Vietnamese side hopes to make joint efforts with the Chinese side to comprehensively deepen Vietnam-China cooperation in various fields.
