Shen Beili Meets with Delegation of Parliamentary Friendship Group from the Three Baltic States

Beijing, August 24th—Shen Beili, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of parliamentary friendship group from the three Baltic states.

Speaking positively of China’s relations with the three Baltic states, Shen applauded the contributions the parliamentary friendship group of the three countries has made, and expressed that the CPC is willing to, on the existing sound basis, further enhance exchanges with the main political parties of the three states, so as to push bilateral relations and regional cooperation for constant and forward-looking development.

The delegation members noted that the three Baltic states adhere to the one-China principle, and the main political parties of three states are friendly towards China. The three countries regard the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative advanced by the Chinese side as well as the “16+1 cooperation” under this framework as great opportunities, and are willing to play a greater role in regional cooperation.
