Beijing, August 30th--Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a senior cadre study group led by Vanxay, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Director of Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

Wang Yajun expressed his condolences on the dam collapse of a hydropower station in Attapeu Province in Southern Laos, and he believed that the Lao people will rebuild their home at an early date. Wang stressed that under the care and promotion of the two parties and top leaders of the two countries, China-Laos relations have entered the best period in history. The Chinese side stands ready, together with the Lao side, well implement the important consensus reached by the two parties and top leaders of the two countries, and strengthen experience exchanges on state governance and administration to build an unbreakable China-Laos community of shared future.

Vanxay thanked the CPC and the Chinese government for sending the medical rescue team to and providing supplies assistance for Laos immediately after the dam collapse. He spoke highly of development of Laos-China relations and outcomes of cooperation and exchanges between the two parties, and expressed that Laos stands ready to further learn from the Chinese side in state governance and administration, and propel the development the LPRP and various sectors.
