Beijing, September 11th--Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Miguel Mejia, General Secretary of United Left Movement (MIU) and Minister for Regional Integration Policies of the Dominican Republic.

Li spoke highly of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries, and expressed that the CPC is willing to continue to deepen friendly relations with the MIU and promote the healthy and stable development of the relations between both countries in the new period through inter-party exchanges.

Mejia expressed that the MIU attaches importance to its traditional friendship with the CPC, and stands ready to learn from the CPC’s experience in party governance and state administration and actively promote practical cooperation in various fields between the Dominican Republic and China so as to constantly elevate bilateral relations to new stages.
