The Chinese side is willing to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and promote China-Iran relations to a new level. Song said that the IDCPC is willing to carry out various forms of exchanges and cooperation with Iran’s SCFR, work harder together to increase political mutual trust and policy communication between both countries, and actively play a political leading role in the development of China-Iran relations.

Kharrazi said that President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to Iran in 2016, and the two countries announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership, making the traditional friendship between Iran and China stand at a new historical starting point. The SCFR attaches great importance to the friendly exchanges with the IDCPC, especially to jointly implementing a series of important decisions made by the leaders of the two countries through the in-depth exchanges between the two sides for the development of Iran-China relations.

The two sides also extensively exchanged views on issues of common concern such as strengthening cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
