Song Tao Meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova

Beijing, September 17th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Tudor Ulianovschi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.

Song expressed that though China and Moldova are far away from each other, the two peoples enjoy a long history of friendship. The Chinese side attaches high importance to developing China-Moldova relations and inter-party relations, and appreciates that the Moldovan government attaches importance to developing bilateral relations, and actively promotes inter-party exchanges between the two countries. The CPC has established friendly relations with all major political parties of Moldova, and stands ready to increase bilateral political mutual trust and promote bilateral practical cooperation through further enhancing in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the Parties, in a bid to constantly inject new impetus into the development of China-Moldova relations.

Speaking highly of Moldova-China friendly relations, Ulianovschi expressed that the Moldovan government actively supports inter-party exchanges between Moldova and China, and is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side to elevate bilateral relations to a new level.

Both sides also exchanged views on reinforcing China-Moldova cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, attended the meeting.
