Li Jun Goes to the Vietnamese Embassy in China to Offer Condolences to President Tran Dai Quang of Vietnam

September 26th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), went to the Vietnamese Embassy in China today to offer condolences to President Tran Dai Quang of Vietnam on behalf of the IDCPC.

Li expressed that we felt deeply grieved over the unfortunate passing of President Tran Dai Quang. General Secretary and President Xi Jinping had immediately sent a message of condolences to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Entrusted by General Secretary Xi Jinping, Zhao Leji, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, who was on a friendly official visit in Vietnam, attended condolence activities on behalf of the CPC Central Committee. We express our deep condolences to the passing of President Tran Dai Quang and offer profound sympathies to his family.

Dang Minh Khoi, Vietnamese Ambassador to China, said that the Chinese side’s arrangement for offering condolences to President Tran Dai Quang fully embodied the friendly feelings between the two Parties, the two countries and the two peoples, as well as showed the great importance China attached to developing Vietnam-China relations, which the Vietnamese side deeply appreciates. It is hoped that the two sides will make joint efforts to further carry forward Vietnam-China traditional friendship and promote the relations between the two Parties and the two countries for constant development.
