Beijing, October 10th - Huang Kunming, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Simon Compaore, Acting Chairman of Burkina Faso’s People’s Movement for Progress (MPP).
Huang Kunming noted that during the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, President Xi Jinping met with President Roch Marc Christian Kabore for the first time after the two countries resumed diplomatic relations, and reached important consensus, charting the course for the development of the relations between China and Burkina Faso. The Chinese side stands ready to, together with Burkina Faso’s side, establish a new type of political party relations featuring seeking common grounds while reserving differences, mutual respect, and mutual learning on the basis of the one-China principle to guide China-Burkina Faso relations toward forward-looking development in a faster pace and with more practical results.
Kabore said that the resumption of diplomatic relations between Burkina Faso and China conforms to the historical trend. The Burkina Faso’s side hopes to further strengthen the relations between the two Parties, promote cooperation in all fields, and promote bilateral relations and Africa-China relations for in-depth development.
