Islamabad, October 15th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Jam Kamal Khan, President of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and Chief Minister of Balochistan.

Song congratulated Kamal on leading the BAP to win the election at the congress of Balochistan and his assumption as the Chief Minister. Song expressed that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners sharing weal and woe. Balochistan plays an important part in cooperation between China and Pakistan in various fields and the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The CPC stands ready to, together with the BAP, establish inter-party relations, enhance exchanges and cooperation, and jointly support and promote all sides of Balochistan to take a more active part in cooperation in various fields between China and Pakistan in a deeper level and more extensive areas, so as to benefit local people.

Kamal noted that China is the iron friend of Pakistan. The BAP pays high attention to developing friendly relations with China, and stands ready to take the official establishment of relations between the two Parties as an opportunity, intensify exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties, promote practical cooperation at local levels between the two countries, and create a better environment for the construction of the CPEC.
